Yes, you can run an inverter Ac on solar panel. We have installed invertor A/c from super general. It runs on solar power coming from the solar panel during the day time as we do not have electricity in our store. We can comfortably run the A/c from 9 am to 4pm during summar time. you need 10 x 300W panels and an MPPT charge controller invertor and back up of battery to run your lights and fan during the night. This can power your DC to AC directly from your Solar panel and charge the battery with excess power during the day.
You can feed the DC from the panels into an inverter, yes. My 18 255-Watt panels feed one inverter which puts out 240V.
My neighbor has panels with inverters built into each one, so they all put out AC at the same voltage. I have recently installed a 1 ton inverter ac. Just buy enough panels and install a suitable solar inverter and they would the job. According to my knowledge, 3000watt solar panels would be enough to run a modern 1.5 ton ac.
