In a broad sense, an AC’s power consumption is determined by three factors from the standpoint of the user. The number of stars the air conditioner has, its ISSER rating, and how often it is used.
For a 1.5 Ton AC like Candy Air Conditioner, 10 hours of daily use could cost 5 to 10 units of electric power. It is critical to get an energy-efficient air conditioner to avoid unnecessary power costs. The more stars there are, the less energy is used, and hence the cost is lower. A 3 or 5 star air conditioner is considered ideal, with the 5 star rating resulting in a cheaper bill.
